Last Thursday we organized a press trip to the winery with the aim of being able to share our wines and our surroundings with a selection of journalists. We enjoyed a great day in which we had time for everything. We start with an off-road visit to the reserve where the farm is located, the Riberas de Castronuño vega del Duero nature reserve. A trip full of funny anecdotes where yes, the deer were seen.
After this walk we went to our facilities, an old warehouse of grain rehabilitated in 2001 and that today houses our winery. Here we got more serious, but only a little. Ramiro, our winemaker, guided us in a tasting where we tested and analyzed each of our wines. He told us the secrets in the development and the work and effort that is put to each year we give with the best wine. In addition, journalists had the opportunity to taste what will be the top wine of our range, Barcolobo El Jaral, an author’s wine that is the selection of our 2012 vintage selection and of which only 1,893 bottles have been made, but Well, we’ll have the opportunity to give you more details a little later.
As a final culmination, a food jacket in which we enjoyed a great gazpacho and, as tradition dictates, grilled chops, all washed down with our wines, including the dessert, which had been prepared using our wines: Chocolate tulip with Pink wine ice cream Barcolobo Lacrimae Rerum and Parfait from Barcolobo Verdejo. You can find a summary in images in this gallery.
