He is finally here. We’ve been working on it for a long time, specifically since our 2012 vintage and it’s ready. It’s about Barcolobo El Jaral, our most premium wine. A signature wine of which we only have 1,893 bottles.

Barcolobo El Jaral has been made using the best grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Tempranillo of the 2012 vintage and has been aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels, selecting for this wine only those that have been considered as Exceptional.

Of cherry red color with violet tones, Barcolobo El Jaral stands out for its aroma of ripe fruit with balsamic notes, cedar, tobacco, sweet and dairy species with a clean and fragrant result. The palate stands out for its balance between fruit and wood, it is persistent and with a long aftertaste.

All the grapes used to make this wine come from our vineyard in Finca La Rinconada, within the Natural Reserve “Riberas de Castronuño-Vega del Duero” in Valladolid, a fact that already confers a unique personality. If we add to this, in addition, the dedication in the selection of the grapes and the meticulousness with which we have worked, we have as a result a wine addressed to all those of you who like to enjoy long aftermaths accompanied by a great wine.

Ideal to accompany stews, game meat or roasts. In fact, we had a few days ago the opportunity to try it with a recipe of mushroom-style deer loin prepared by a good friend of ours and what are we going to say!

In Barcolobo we have put all our hopes in this wine. It is a wine to be enjoyed in each sip but now the moment of truth arrives, as for every father, as his son there is none, but what do you think? Do you dare to try it? Do you already know him? If so, we will love hearing your opinions.
